October Special Days!!

 October 24th

National Doctors' Day is a day celebrated to recognize the contributions of physicians to individual lives and communities. To appreciate the services of doctors, every October 24 we commemorate National Doctors Day.

Every October 24, Indonesia commemorates the National Doctor's Day, which is also marked with the birthday celebration of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI). This year IDI reaches 67 years old.

The newly-inaugurated Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan on this occasion also expressed his gratitude for sincere dedication of the doctors. Anies is also grateful, because the doctors have sincerely devoted not only to the people of Jakarta, but also to the entire Indonesian people.

"Happy National Doctor's Day. Many thanks for the sincere dedication of doctors in Jakarta and throughout Indonesia," tweeted Anies, as cited from his Twitter,

World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.

The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.

It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.
